Being that Owen is almost 2 years old, this was the first Christmas we really got into leaving gifts for Santa and being excited for present opening. Owen left Santa a cookie and Rudolph some carrots.

We got our Christmas tree this weekend and thanks to lot's of hard work (mainly by Leah) it looks great! Owen has only destroyed one ornament so far, a Georgia Football ornament the little bugger! We look forward to celebrating the holidays with friends and family over the coming weeks.

We all enjoyed having Bunnie and Bear in town to celebrate Jack's birthday. Dinner out with adult's as Owen enjoyed his first experience with a babysitter that wasn't family, Lucy. Owen did well and was sound asleep upon our return. Jack Ramsey and Owen are becoming fast friends and enjoy spending time together. We are looking forward to the upcoming holidays together.
It has been raining cats and dogs in Smyrna for several days now. Saturday we decided we would all head to NorthPoint Mall in Alpharetta, GA to stay dry and have something to do. We got some shopping done and Owen had fun playing in the play area and riding the carousel with Mommy.
Labor Day weekend Jack Ramsey and Owen got to spend a good bit of time together. They really enjoyed playing with each other and they are becoming fast friends. The above picture captures the weekend well.
Owen took his first plane ride over the Labor Day weekend. A quick flight from Atlanta, GA to Pensacola, FL. He did very good! The flight down he slept the entire way and the flight back he was awake the entire way, but enjoying the flight with us!

If you want to see Owen freak out simply take a vacuum away from him. It started with following Mommy around while she cleaned to pulling vacuum's out here and at Nana's house. I figured he needed his own vacuum. He plays with this thing a good bit every day, and he has the motion down and everything, it is hilarious!
There is nothing worse than seeing your child get hurt right in front of your eyes. Yesterday after work Owen and I were heading out the front door to get the mail. He tripped on the threshold of the front door, fell forward and his momentum carried him down the front brick stairs, head over heels. The result: A very swollen, scraped and bruised forehead, a scraped up nose and a nice scratch on his back. He took it better than I probably would, he cried for about 2 minutes and then kept on going. I took him to the pediatrician today just as a precaution, everything is a-ok!!
Owen and Jack Ramsey had fun playing together during their time in Meridian. They both know how to ham it up for the camera in their own way.

There were about 15 ducks in the pond. They followed us along the fence line. Owen would run from them when I stepped away to take a picture. A good way to spend a Friday afternoon after running errands.
Jane invited Owen to her 3rd birthday party and he LOVED it! He enjoyed all of the animals and especially chasing all the other kids around the big open yard. He kept up with them really well for his age, we are so proud! I was lucky enough during all the running around to snap the above picture.

Owen and Max playing in the backyard. Owen loves to throw the ball with Max and I am sure Max is very happy to have the extra attention. I have never seen a dog take the abuse that Owen dishes out by climbing all over Max on a regular basis. He is a great dog and we love him!!

The walk out into the ocean and waves with Daddy started off fine, until his first face full of sea water after Daddy waded a little too far out to handle the bigger waves. Shortly after this picture was taken he passed out cold in Mommy's lap.
