I Love Bath Time!

It's been a couple of weeks since our last update.  Owen continues to grow into his little personality.  His laugh is contagious and his "Mr. Serious" times are just as cute and funny. Owen will be 6 months old next Friday, we can't believe it! 

He has officially begun to sit unsupported on a regular basis as he plays on the floor both at home and at Nana's house. Owen loves to grab anything in sight at this point, with one of this favorite things to grab being the remote. Today while at Target we found a cute little Sesame Street Remote and had to buy it for him. The bottom picture is Owen crawling over to pick up his new toy.

Owen's Labor Day Weekend...

Our Labor Day plans changed a little due to the approach of Hurricane Gustav. Rather than risk driving to the beach only to turn around due to weather, we all decided to stay in Atlanta and Bunnie, Bear and Mamatha came in to town. We had a great time, Owen got to see his first Georgia game (a win of course) and spend time with all of his family.

Owen spent Sunday night at Nana's house, check out the cute ducky towel Aunt Kathy and Nana picked up for him!!

We ended the weekend with Owen getting his first taste of applesauce, he loved it!!

Owen Turns 5 Months Old...

Owen hit the 20 week mark today! He continues to grow and mature into a little man.  Owen loves to smile any time you interact with him (unless he is hungry or tired, then all bets are off). We can't wait to get down to the beach next weekend for Labor Day so Owen can get in the pool and experience his first college football party with the family. Check back in a week or so to see how it went! Gooooo Dawgs! 

Weekend Update...

Another weekend has come and gone, they go by way too fast! This weekend Owen and I got to spend some quality time together kicking off the long weekend with a full Friday of hanging out. Owen is starting to be a squirmy little guy, always trying to get out of our hands and onto the floor with his brothers, Max and Sam. I made a little 20 second film showing Owen in his first stages of "walking". He likes doing this more than practicing crawling for some reason...

Owen Has His First Taste of Rice Cereal...

Here are a few pictures of some of Owen's achievements over the weekend.  As you can see in the top picture, he is slowly learning how to sit up on his own.  He is still very wobbly, and prefers to push back rather than balance, but we will get him there.  Tonight was his first time trying rice cereal. We got a mixed reaction, as he seemed confused that formula would be coming from anything but a bottle, but he did eat some before we fed him his normal bottle. Tune in next week, who knows what will happen next? 

4 Month Pediatrician's Visit...

Owen went back to the pediatrician's office on 8/6/2008 for his 4 month checkup.  He now weighs 15 pounds and is 25" in length. He is a growing little boy!! The pediatrician advised us Owen is now ready to try some rice cereal and we are going to give it a whirl this weekend. Owen also has the green light for the swimming pool, so Labor Day weekend he will get to take his first swim! Here is a video of some of the talking he has begun doing on a regular basis.  Now if I can only get him to say "Da-Da"! 

The Weekend Comes to a Close...

We had a great weekend with Owen.  He was 17 weeks old on Friday and continues to learn new things each day.  This weekend he has really begun to voice his opinion...talking up a storm!  Wednesday is the trip to the pediatrician's office for his 4 month check up and next round of shots.  Here are a few pictures from the weekend...
